Privacy policy
This page explains what happens to the information you send through the beta sign-up form on this website. Short version: I collect only what you type into the form, use it only to run the beta and decide what to build, never sell it, and delete it when you ask.
Who is responsible
The controller of your data is Aleksandrs Vozņarskis, an independent developer based in Latvia, EU. Contact: hello@alexvoz.org.
What I collect
- Your email address.
- Your answers in the form: number of dives, certification level, dive computer, current logbook, whether you use an Apple Watch Ultra or a Mac, favourite features, price range, beta interest and any free-text comment.
- Which website sent you here (for example, a forum name), so I know which communities are interested. This is the referring site, not your browsing history.
- Your approximate country, worked out from your IP address when you submit the form. The IP address itself is not stored.
- The time of submission and of your consent.
Please don’t put sensitive personal information (such as health details) into the free-text field.
Why, and on what legal basis
I use this data to invite you to the beta, send you occasional updates about this app, and understand what divers need so I can decide what to build. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time; this doesn’t affect what was done before.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) hosts this website and stores the form submissions in a database in my Cloudflare account (Cloudflare Pages and D1). Like any web server, it processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from abuse.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites. It only produces aggregated statistics such as page views, countries and referring sites.
Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and its Data Processing Addendum with Standard Contractual Clauses applies. No other service receives your form answers.
I don’t sell, rent or share your data with anyone else, and I don’t use it for advertising.
Cookies
This website doesn’t use cookies or similar tracking technologies.
How long I keep it
Until the app launches publicly, plus up to 12 months to tell you about the launch, or until you ask me to delete it, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw your consent. Just email the contact address above; I’ll reply within one month. Every email I send also includes a way to unsubscribe. If you send the form again with the same email address, your previous answers are replaced.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the one in your country or in mine (in Latvia: Datu valsts inspekcija, dvi.gov.lv).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
